2013 Season - Week 23
2014 NFL Free Agents
We are just a month away from Free Agency and while there are no interesting QBs available there are plenty of Running Backs and Receivers. These include Superbowl winner Golden Tate and Broncos Knowshon Moreno & Eric Decker. The best of the bunch is Jimmy Graham though everyone expects New Orleans to resign him before Free Agency starts on March 11th. Other RBs who could be available include Ben Tate, Darren McFadden, Rashard Jennings, Mo Jones-Drew, Andre Brown, LeGarrette Blount, Rashard Mendenhall & Donald Brown with WRs Riley Cooper, Julian Edelman, Hakeem Nicks, Anquan Boldin & James Jones all at contracts end.
Franchise Players 2014-2015
As is the norm you’ll select your Franchise player after the NFL Draft and majority of free agency as I shall be asking for your Franchise players for the next two years early in June. You’ll be giving up the player that you franchised two years ago though some have been cut due to injury or as they failed to live up to their owners expectations. Meanwhile franchise players becoming available include QBs Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers & Matt Stafford, Rusher LeSean McCoy, WRs Victor Cruz, Eric Decker & Jordy Nelson plus Tight Ends Jimmy Graham & Rob Gronkowski.
A week is a long time in the BUMS
Attached is the favourite chart of the year giving a graphical view of your position in the league table each week. Four different owners led the Premiership:- Andy H who lead after week one, defending champion Daz who lead from weeks 4-8, Aaron leading from weeks 10 to 12 and Chief who lead the other 9 weeks. At the bottom, two of the three who went down (AP and George) spent much of the season in the bottom three, while despite leading after week 1 Andy H ended in the dropzone as both Wayne (week 14) and Mark (week 15) finally climbed clear. Three people flat-lined in the conference. Unsurprising for Marcus who set the season record for most points while Craig bounced straight back into the Premiership. David S suffered as did the Browns and Redskins (whom he built his team on) and he never got off the bottom while John and Dave G battled for the final promotion spot which went to Dave G when outscored John 49-23 on the final weekend of the season. How high did you fly- how low did you go?
